Request for Information: Integrated Meteorological Sensor Suite – CLOSED

Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution is seeking firms interested in participating in information gathering exercise for Integrated Meteorological Sensor Suite.

The subject package is part of the Coastal and Global Scale Nodes (CGSN) which are a subset of the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI) funded by NSF and administered by Consortium for Ocean Leadership (OL). Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), with partners Oregon State University (OSU) and Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO), has been selected in a competitive procurement to lead the CGSN Implementing Organization (IO). In this role, the CGSN IO will design, build and maintain CGSN equipment at a number of sites worldwide.

The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to solicit firms interested, determine specification and budgetary information. CGSN will review all responses, and then determine the need to proceed further in the selection of a system. Contingent upon OOI CGSN IO findings and contracting procedures, a Request for Quotation or Proposal may eventuate. This RFI is strictly a mechanism for gathering information and will not constitute a procurement process. No contract award(s) will be made as a result of this request.

Attached please find the Bulk Meteorology Instrument Package RFI, and the specifications packages.

Please review these documents and, should your firm be interested in participating, respond by March 30. As stated in the document, response to the RFI is requested by April 7th.

While participation in this RFI process is appreciated, non-participation will not preclude a firm form inclusion in any subsequent procurement process.
