New York Times Highlights Rutgers University’s Large-Scale Synchronized Glider Deployment

Gliderpalooza 2013, coordinated by Rutgers University, in partnership with several universities along the eastern seaboard, is well underway with 16 gliders deployed from Nova Scotia to Georgia.  

The synchronized deployment is the first of its kind and marks a shift in oceanographic research toward large scale observing.
