(December 9-13). The purpose of the SUGR meeting is to hear from our current and potential user community who are using OOI and other data sets to improve our understanding of the Carbon Cycle. In addition to sessions such as OS53D – Advancing our Understanding of Ocean Carbon and the Air-Sea Carbon Flux\, this meeting will feature presentations from researchers who use OOI data\, sharing their findings and experiences\, and a discussion of  potential updates to the GOOS-Endorsed Best Practices document. Additionally\, we want to hear from attendees about any new sensors that could be added to OOI infrastructure to further enhance biogeochemical research. \nThis is an excellent opportunity to connect\, collaborate\, and expand awareness of the valuable contributions of OOI data to carbon cycle research. DESCRIPTION:The OOI Facility Board (OOIFB) and Data Systems Committee (DSC) will hold their 2024 Fall Meetings on November 13 and 14\, 2024. A site visit day with other activities is planned for Friday\, November 15\, 2024.  The meetings will be held in person\, but virtual participation will also be available. \nThe meetings will be held at the University of Washington’s Ocean Teaching Building in Seattle\, Washington. DESCRIPTION:Co-sponsored by the American Geophysical Union (AGU)\, the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO)\, and The Oceanography Society (TOS)\, Ocean Sciences Meeting is the global leader in ocean sciences conferences. We are creating a meeting and networking  environment that provides opportunities for ocean scientists\, from those doing basic research to those working on solutions for the ocean we want\, to present and share knowledge as well as network and address emerging topics in ocean sciences. \nWhile many participants will physically gather in Honolulu\, the Program Committee anticipates a large global gathering to virtually attend online programming and events. The tradition of outstanding presentations and knowledge-sharing\, through plenary speakers\, in oral sessions\, and in serendipitous conversations\, will continue during OSM 2022.

SUMMARY:Potential Pioneer Relocation Innovations Lab Phase 1
DESCRIPTION:The Pioneer Array was designed as a moveable array. The OOI community has been invited to participate in the decision regarding the Pioneer Array’s future location.  Selection of a new OOI Pioneer Array location will be driven by community input on the important science questions that can be addressed with observations from a new Array location or maintaining it in its current location. The first of a two-phase Innovations Lab will bring together scientists\, educators\, and stakeholders to explore possible locations for the Pioneer Array. During the week of March 15-19\, interdisciplinary teams will work together to ideate and develop a roadmap of possible locations including exploring new scientific\, educational\, and partnership opportunities.
