2016 AGU Fall Meeting OOI Town Hall

DEADLINE EXTENDED – We will be accepting one slide submissions until Thurs. 12/8.

OOI User Community and Colleagues,

We look forward to seeing each of you at the upcoming 2016 AGU Fall Meeting in San Francisco, CA. There will be several opportunities during the meeting to connect with OOI staff and data.

The OOI will be in the Exhibit Hall at Booth #245. We will have the OOI Data Portal and other OOI data access points up and live to walk through with interested users at the booth. Feel free to stop by with any questions or to share with us how you are using the OOI in your research.

Additionally, the OOI will be hosting a town hall Tues. Dec. 13, from 6:15-7:15 PM in Moscone West Room 2008. The focus of the town hall will be on you, our users, and using OOI data. To that end, we would like for you to be involved in the town hall! We are asking interested users to please send one slide that will explain how you plan to, or already, use the OOI data in your research. You will have one minute to present your slide at the town hall. Please submit your slide to lsmith@oceanleadership.org by Thurs. Dec. 8.

These presentations offer a great way to learn more about the OOI data uses, as well as networking opportunities. One slide presentations were a highlight of the recent UNOLS workshop on OOI arrays in the NE Pacific. For those of you who presented your slides at that workshop, please feel free to re-submit them now to share at the AGU town hall.

Please note that due to time restraints, we may not be able to get to all the slides submitted.  We will confirm ahead of time, however, if your slide has been selected.  Slide formats can be PowerPoint or PDF.

Thank you,
OOI Communications Team
