pH is a measurement of the concentration of hydrogen ions in a solution and ranges from acidic to basic on a scale from 0 to 14, with 7 being neutral. pH of the sea water is reported on the total scale using an external Ag/AgCl reference electrode in direct contact with sea water and an internal reference electrode.

Measured by PHSEN-G series instruments.
