Brian Ittig

Brian Ittig joined the OOI Regional Cabled Array (RCA) program in July 2008 as the Marine Operations Manager, where he now serves as project manager. Ittig has more than 18 years of professional experience, including eight years in the telecommunications and submarine cable industry. As Senior Manager, Marine Project Coordination for Tyco Telecommunications, he was responsible for the project engineering and implementation of international fiber-optic cable systems. Ittig is managing operations and maintenance of the RCA, hosting some of the most technologically advanced infrastructure in the world’s oceans. In concert, these systems are advancing ocean sciences and are providing new and exciting educational opportunities.
